“Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?
In the lane snow is glistening
A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland”
Yes, it is definitely cold outside! A chilly 11 degrees (F not C) at my studio this morning, which made it pretty easy for me to choose the next item to feature in this series.
On a cold winter day like this one, I don’t think anything comes close to the warmth and comfort of a hand knit item. I’m a knitter myself, so I really appreciate the skill, artistry, and work that goes into creating a hand knit piece.
Shown in the photo is a beautiful scarf I purchased earlier this year from Ann at White Rabbit Knitwear. Hand knit from a blend of merino and silk in a combination of my favorite colors. Incredibly soft, super warm – but that’s not all. Not only did Ann knit it, she also spun the yarn.
Ann lives in Australia, where it isn’t winter and there shouldn’t be a need for a wool scarf – but don’t let that stop you from checking it out. She’s got some truly adorable baby items as well.
